First event I?ve attended and will certainly attend more. Stanley the tutor was extremely informative, I learnt a lot in the first 10 minutes, and excellent at explaining watercolour technique. During the session he ensured each attendee had his attention and guidance. Overall a very useful and encouraging session with a lot of watercolour theory provided.

Painted by Sheila Biggins. After being an amazing pencil artist in her early years, art fell to the wayside. Now, at the age of 80, Sheila decided to give art 'another go'.This picture is close to her heart and the inspiration was the book, The Railway Children. Sheila's main art style is the North East and memories of her childhood growing up in pit villages, which is represented in many areas of her work.

Title or Location: FairyTale Wedding
I was privileged to be commissioned for this piece. It's outside my comfort zone, as I usually paint animals. But it captures perfectly this lovely couples dream wedding, their silhouettes against the light and rain really speaks of a fairy tale wedding. The silver in the trees pops and I was really please with the end result, as were they.

Title or Location: Island Sunset
This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
