Night at Tyne (Night Photography)

Sunday 10 December
Newcastle and Gateshead Quayside - 5pm - 2 Hours
Newcastle Photography Group

The river Tyne is one of the most beautiful locations within the city at night with the illuminated bridges and architecture. Capture the beauty during this night time session and unlock your creativity with interesting ways of capturing the various landmarks. During this session we will explore composition techniques and you will master the different ways to capture the light creatively.

This session is great photographers with all levels of experience, from the complete beginner to the more intermediate photographer. Don't forget to bring your tripod along with you and grab your gloves. It gets extremely cold during this time of year. I highly recommend investing in a cable shutter so you can keep your hands close to your body and away from the bite of the river.

Jesmond Dene stands out as one of the most enchanting destinations just a short drive away from the city center. Join Jenny for the annual relaxed photography walk through the Dene, finishing at the iconic Armstrong Waterfalls. This experience is ideal for those who've unwrapped a new camera this Christmas and are eager to embark on their photography journey.

Additionally, it offers valuable insights for enthusiastic amateurs seeking to enhance their camera skills and grasp the concepts of the exposure triangle. All cameras, including mobile phones, are welcome on this session, so don't let that hold you back.

There is an opportunity to try long exposure photography of the waterfalls and it's advisable to bring along a sturdy tripod. If you don't have one, that's ok as I have one available for borrowing, though you might need to wait your turn to use it.

I am a middle art teacher for a homeschool enrichment program. My students are ages 9 to 13. I strive to teach them that their age is not a barrier to creating complex, stunning art. I was searching for inspiration images for our first watercolor unit that emphasized the use of the untouched paper and negative space to provide the light. I stumbled upon a reel of a similar image and decided to try my hand at creating my version as the prototype for the class. This piece turned out beyond anythin

This is a portrait of my friend, Marta. The reference photo was from a family portrait that her family posed for when they were visiting their hometown in Puerto Rico. I loved the regal look she had and was inspired to try a portrait in watercolor for the first time ever. It isn?t perfect, but I think I captured her likeness. I gifted this painting to Marta. It now hangs in a gallery wall of art.. in the bathroom! And I couldn?t be more honored. It is approximately 5x7 on Arches paper with
