Title or Location: Ailsa Craig
Ailsa Craig is an island in the Irish Sea off the Scottish coast. Its a magical place and the colours of the sea and sky can be exquisitely beautiful. One of my favourite places to paint. This is one of a series of paintings I have done of the island.

Title or Location: Spring is Here
Spring brings beautiful colours to brighten up the dull dark winter days. I find the colours uplifting. I often do flower studies but I brought the flowers from my drafts together to create this vase of beautiful spring flowers.

Title or Location: The old man and the cat. Pollensa Mallorca.
This is a street in Pollensa, Mallorca. An old man was sitting in a seat looking down the street and opposite him a ginger cat was also sitting. Both were looking as if waiting for someone or something to appear. I thought this would make an interesting painting so I snapped the scene on my phone.

This piece is a water colour taken from my own photo of a walk with my partner for his 50th birthday . It is half way up Latrigg fell in the Lake District , Cumbria. The painting was filled with the emotion of pride ( I'm nearly 60 ) and love for my partner . Water colour is my choice medium for fluid memories.

Title or Location: Boomers Beach, La Jolla California
My parents met on a beach in La Jolla as teens in the early 1940s they married, built their home there in 1958, when I was 4 years old. I grew up there, my children would visit their grandparents there. My parents are gone now. I own the house now and my parents great grandchildren come to visit me. So many beach memories now! Taking a walk through wild flowers blooming above the beach is still a delight to me at age 70. And being able to use watercolor to paint the beauty I grew up with is
